IMPORTANT:
Whenever we have important announcements to make we post them in these forums. If it is a critical announcement that will affect servers for more than a few minutes, and if we have time to send out emails, we get out announcements by email to all affected accounts. This means if a server is affected, we send an email to ALL accounts on that server at whatever email address you gave us at signup time for "Hosting Contact Email Address."
Please make sure we have an updated Hosting Contact Email Address on file for you. Also make sure your updated Contact Email Address is on file in your cPanel (when you login to cPanel, click the word "here" where it says "Please enter your contact information here")
Then be sure to actually check your email for information and updates from us. It appears some of you are supplying an email address at signup and then not checking your email, so you're missing out on important announcements.
Also be sure to check these forums frequently. Here you will find more detailed information about issues, as well as minor or short-notice announcements we do not or cannot send out emails for. If you're not checking the forums -- especially the Announcements section -- you may be missing out on important information that affects your web site.
The server moves (http://forums.12wonderhosting.com/index.php?act=ST&f=2&t=68) today underscored the importance of this. We sent out emails to EVERY account on darrion and EVERY account on magic on July 7, days before this was to take place. We also posted the Announcement and updates about it here in the forums. Yet we still received a great many emails and phone calls today from people who didn't have a clue what was going on. While we'd like you all to feel free to call us anytime, please keep in mind that if we have to explain in detail everything that is going on because someone didn't read our email or check the forums, it takes away from our time spent working on resolving the issues.
We do our best to keep you updated but we can only do that if you keep the lines of communication open by doing your part: current email address, read the emails you get from us, and check the forums frequently.
