Does anyone know what to do when permission is denied to edit your website, and it says thata javascript error has been found? It want's me to switch to HTML (which I can't do because I don't understand it). I ran a favascript fix scan and repair, but that didn't help, also I have deleted temporary files, and I only access the cpanel through typing in my website/cpanel. I wrote the help desk but didn't really get an answer that I understood. HELP!!!!

I'll take a shot here. Where are you getting the access denied error? (like at what point does it say "no you can't access your site")

She's using RV Sitebuilder.

You must not ever use a bookmark to access the RV Sitebuilder. You must use cPanel and then click on the RV Sitebuilder icon to enter the sitebuilder interface. Otherwise you will have conflicts between sessions which will generate the JS error.

Hi Brandon -

I'm using the RVSitebuilder - and when I get to where I can actually change the site material (I think it's 5) I get the message. Just a sec and I'll log in and copy it for you.

Oh for Goodness sake- Of course it is now working.....

I had managed to get it to work long enough to do one page, and then it stopped. It's now acting nice again. Thanks for being willing to help!

Hi Anne-

I have never used a bookmark to access the site, so that is not the problem. I always log into cpanel via my website (www.valeriechipman.com/cpanel). I managed to somehow get this working last night, but it is once again giving me the error message.

Hi Brandon - it's doing it again. This is the message I get:

Error message : Permission denied.
URL : https://zeus.12wonderweb.net:2083/3rdparty/rvsitebuilder/index.php?/sitebuilder/wysiwyg/project_page_id/0e216786473e87501b71478473cd1405/htmlcode/1
Line : 18

This happens at step 5 in RVSitebuilder. Anne has suggested that I not access RVSitebuilder through a bookmark - but I have never done it that way- I always go through my website/cpanel. I even bout and installed a javascript repair anti virus program, but it doesn't seem to ehlp. Any ideas?

I have never been able to duplicate this in either Firefox or Internet Explorer, nor have I ever heard of anyone else having the problem without having used a bookmark to access the sitebuilder. Which indicates that the problem stems from some setting on your computer or in your own browser.

Try these:

1) Make very sure that your browser is set to ALWAYS look for a newer version of any page, and not to work off a cached version of a page from any previous visit.

2) Go back to Step 5, select HTML mode for each page, and then just Save each page in turn without changing any of the code. Publish the site again after you have saved all the pages this way. Then close your browser, and log back in via cPanel -> RV Sitebuilder again.

Anne-

Thank you - I know you must think I'm a real pain in the neck. I appreciate your help.
