Effective immediately we are no longer accepting new orders for Site Builder Hosting.

As promising as the Site Builder CX program seemed, it turned out to be not quite as user-friendly as we liked, nor as secure as it should be. It is also incompatible with the tighter security measures we implemented across all servers. Support from the Site Builder CX programmers has been unreliable and marginal at best. More than two months after reporting security vulnerabilities to them, they have yet to issue any patches addressing those issues. So I am pulling it.

At this point there are very few active accounts still using Site Builder CX, and those are all only on two servers anyway as most users who tried SBCX didn't like it and switched back to our Standard hosting. We will keep SBCX on those two servers for the time being, until a better/more secure site builder is found. However if you are one of the ones who choose to continue using SBCX, you will find (if you haven't already) that pages created with it often don't function under phpsuexec which restricts insecure pages/directories. You will have to keep going back into your cPanel or an FTP program every time you create a new page, and change permissions to more secure, lower settings in order for your pages to function. Although this does allow Site Builder CX to function in a secure environment, it truly is a real pain to deal with, which turns the phrase "easy site builder" into an oxymoron.

Am looking around again for a better alternative.

Effective starting tonight and to be completed within the next 24 hours or so, the few remaining old Site Builder CX accounts on zeus will be switched to Standard Hosting to allow those users to take full advantage of the new, more secure, and MUCH improved better site builder which is now installed (http://forums.12wonder.com/showthread.php?p=834#post834).

I am not removing your old Site Builder Content. It will still remain in the /home/ directory due to the way the old sitebuilder was set up, so you can preserve your text/etc. content and copy/paste it over to whatever new site you build with the new site builder.

When you are ready to re-do your site with the new site builder, go into cPanel -> File Manager and click on the public_html folder icon. Inside that, delete the index.html file by clicking on the file name then click Delete File in the upper right of the page. Removal of the index.html removes the automatic redirect to your home directory. You can STILL ACCESS THIS DIRECTORY by going to it manually: http://yournewsitename.com/home/

To use the new site builder, go to cPanel and click the SiteBuilder icon (last row, last icon). Specify setup info, choose a template, choose content page names, and add your content. If you want to get content from your old site, just go to the /home/ url of your domain, and highlight/copy the text. Then paste into the new site builder editor window for the page you're working on. Hit "Publish Site" in the new SiteBuilder. If you want your site to be off the main domain and not in a subdirectory, just don't specify any directory name in the blank when it asks for location to publish to.

When you are done copying whatever content you want out of your old /home/ directory site, you can safely remove the whole "/home/" directory via cPanel File Manager (or submit a support ticket asking for it to be done for you).
