I've been using Eudora for months... works fine for email sending and receiving.

And this problem is probably Eudora vs 12WonderHosting, but wonder whether you've run into it before.

The error message on the Eudora screen tells me that my user name and password mismatch at collie+couragebuilders.com@mail.couragebuilders.co m

When I try to reset the password on Eudora, using the old password as the new password, I'm told:

Cannot connect to mail.couragebuilders.com
Cause: connection refused (10061)

Do you think it would help me to change the password on the c/panel and then enter it as new on Eudora?

thanks
Dale

Probably more a username issue than a password issue, IF you are sure you have the correct password. Also remember usernames and passwords are case-sensitive.

collie@ is a secondary email account in your hosting account. So you have to use either collie+couragebuilders.com or collie@couragebuilders.com as the username. Try using the full email address for username instead of the "+" one.

Are you getting the error on receiving mail, or sending mail?

Anne ... thanks for the help. I fixed the problem by using the Windows restore point from yesterday ... I think your advice was right on target about the user name, so I've double checked all of that and we're back on track.

Thanks so much.
